BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 28. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications Mammetkhan Chakiyev to begin construction of new and modernization of existing railway lines, Trend reports with reference to the ORIENT information portal.
The President said that the country's railway lines should be brought into line with international standards as soon as possible.
At the same time, the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan organized a conference dedicated to the development of transit and logistics. At the conference, proposals were made and measures were identified to implement the tasks set in the near future.
Furthermore, Turkmenistan sets goals to accelerate customs clearance at the border, develop the transit and logistics system of the country, as well as create conditions for the rapid movement of goods through customs.
