BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 2. A Turkmen-Qatari business forum was held online, during which ways to expand trade and industrial cooperation between the two countries were discussed, Trend reports with reference to the Business Turkmenistan website.
The event was attended by a number of representatives of business circles and heads of companies in both countries. The Turkmen delegation was headed by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Dovletgeldi Rejepov, and the Qatari delegation was headed by the First Vice-Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Qatar Mohamed Bin Ahmed Twar Al Kuwari.
Al Kuwari said that Qatar and Turkmenistan maintain close relations in many areas, and both sides have a common desire to bring them to a higher level.
He also confirmed the interest of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry in encouraging Qatari investors to invest in Turkmenistan.
At the same time, Rejepov noted that the Chamber of Commerce of Turkmenistan welcomes cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of Qatar, and expressed readiness to provide all necessary data and information to Qatari investors wishing to invest in Turkmenistan.
A similar business meeting between Turkmenistan and Qatar took place in April last year.
