BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 6. Turkmenistan exceeded the production plan for the extraction of natural and associated gas from January through May 2022, Trend reports with reference to Jeyhun News.
This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Shakhym Abdrakhmanov during a joint meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Security Council of Turkmenistan.
During the reporting period, the plan for the production of natural and associated gas in Turkmenistan was exceeded by 11.5 percent, liquefied gas - by 19.7 percent.
At the same time, the natural gas export plan has been exceeded by 21.9 percent.
Meanwhile, the oil refining plan was exceeded by 10.6 percent from January through May 2022.
Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. Its gas reserves have increased by 126 billion cubic meters as a result of the industrial development of recently discovered gas fields.
At the same time, the country pays great attention to the creation of oil and gas processing plants, as well as the export of energy resources to world markets.
