BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 29. Entrepreneurs from the UAE purchased cotton yarn from Turkmen production during trading on June 27 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports citing Orient news.

Businessmen from the UAE purchased 120 tons of cotton yarn in the exchange at a price of 30,000 Turkmen manats ($8,500) per ton.

The total amount of the transaction amounted to 3.6 million Turkmen manats ($1.02 million).

Furthermore, according to the exchange, businessmen from UAE purchased hydrotreated diesel fuel on May 31 at a price of $1,129.25 per ton. The deal was concluded for the amount of $11.2 million.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
