BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 9. Arzuwlara yeten dayhan peasant association of the Kaakhka district of the Ahal region in the south of Turkmenistan has published data on the area of cultivated land, Trend reports with reference to Jeyhun News.

The association is assigned lands with an area of more than 2,103 hectares. On 600 hectares of them, the association has grown a wheat crop, exceeding the plan by 95 percent.

At the same time, the area of cotton crops of the peasant association is 350 hectares and tomatoes - 5 hectares.

Agriculture in Turkmenistan is developing rapidly. This is one of the most important sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan. The main types of agricultural crops grown on the territory of Turkmenistan are wheat, cotton, rice, sugar beet, fodder, vegetable, melon, fruit, and berry crops.
