BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 7. The planned area of cultivated land for winter garlic in the Dashoguz region in the north of Turkmenistan has been published, Trend reports citing the Turkmenistan Golden Age online newspaper.

This year, 780 hectares of land will be sown with winter garlic in the region, from which it is planned to harvest over 6,200 tons of winter garlic.

A significant part of the fields will be sown in the Gurbansoltan Eje district of the Dashoguz region. This year, 550 hectares of land will be sown in the district, from which 4,400 tons of garlic are planned to be harvested.

Turkmenistan provides targeted support for the development of the agricultural sector in the country. In particular, the entire production infrastructure of the agro-industrial complex is being re-equipped and modernized, the chemical industry is developing, and modern tractors combines and other equipment are being purchased.
