Development of industrial production of high-octane gasoline
Industrial production of RON-98 high-octane gasoline was mastered at the Turkmenbashi Oil Processing Complex in early December.
Commissioning of a new gas pipeline
Specialists of the fifth construction and installation department of the "Turkmengundogarnebitgurlushyk" trust of the Turkmengaz State Concern have completed the construction and commissioning of a new gas pipeline on the Uchaji-Zerger section. The 125-kilometer-long gas pipeline is designed to provide fuel for a 432 MW gas turbine power plant operating on the territory of the Charjew district of the Lebap region of Turkmenistan.
Obtaining industrial gas inflow at the Sheperli field
In August, at the Sherepli gas field in the Mary region, an industrial inflow of natural gas was received from the operational evaluation well No. 01 from a depth of 2,330 meters. According to experts, the daily flow rate of the well is 695,000 cubic meters of natural gas. Such a primary production volume gives reason to believe that this field is quite promising, and the main characteristic feature of the production of the new field is the absence of hydrogen sulfide in the composition of natural gas.
Drilling of a new ultra-deep well at the Uzynada field
At the Uzynada field, located in the south-west of Turkmenistan, the Turkmennebit State Concern, based on the research conducted by the Turkmengeology State Corporation, in July began drilling a well with a depth of 7,300 meters in order to expand its borders and effectively further use of hydrocarbon resources.
Increase in the number of oil storage facilities at the Turkmen enterprise
Specialists of the main department of Turkmennebitonumleri State Concern have built and commissioned six oil storage tanks with a total volume of 10,000 cubic meters. In the future, it was planned to build nine more storage facilities for lubricants with a total volume of 900 cubic meters at this enterprise.
Completion of development of a new well at the Uzynada field
At the Turkmen Uzynada field, the development of well No. 77 with a design depth of 6750 meters was successfully completed, resulting in an industrial inflow of natural gas and oil condensate at a depth of 6,692-6,706 meters. The daily flow rate of the well was 91,000 cubic meters of natural gas and 70 tons of oil condensate.
Allocation of a large state loan to increase oil production
Turkmenistan allocated more than 250 million Turkmen manats ($71.55 million) to increase oil production in early February. The Central Bank of Turkmenistan was instructed to allocate funds to the Turkmenbashi Joint-Stock Commercial Bank for lending to the Turkmennebit State Concern.
Detection of gas deposits
In the territories adjacent to the Malai and Nayip gas fields in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan, a new dome was discovered in the lower layers of the Northern Dervish and Malay fields. Initial assessment work showed that their gas reserves amounted to 30 billion and 21.7 billion cubic meters.

A contract was signed between the Russian Rimera company in the market of complex services in the field of oilfield services and the Turkmen Turkmennebit State Concern for the supply of 655 deep rod pumps.
Completion of installations for deep oil refining at the Turkmenbashi refinery
The construction of delayed coking and tar deasphalting units at the Turkmenbashi Oil Processing Complex was completed in mid-December 2022. The launch of these facilities will mark a new breakthrough in Turkmenistan in the field of deep oil refining. The construction of the installations is carried out by the US company Westport Trading Europe Limited by order of Turkmenbashi Oil Processing Complex.
Masdar Company starts implementation of a solar photovoltaic installation project in Turkmenistan
Turkmenenergo State Corporation of Turkmenistan and the UAE-based Masdar company signed an agreement on development of a solar photovoltaic installation project with a capacity of 100 megawatts. This will be the first Masdar project in Turkmenistan. The document is based on the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Masdar and the Government of Turkmenistan in October 2021.
Commissioning of new gas wells
New gas wells of special complexity were commissioned in Turkmenistan at the end of November, the construction of which was carried out at the largest Galkynysh field. The construction of three new wells was launched at this field In August last year, which differ from traditional gas wells in particular complexity. The work on this project was carried out by the Chinese CNPC Chuanqing Drilling Engineering Company Limited.
Construction of the first power equipment repair center in Central Asia
A Center for repair and maintenance of power equipment was commissioned in Ashgabat. The construction of the center, located on an area of three hectares, was carried out by the Turkish company Çalik Enerji Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. At the same time, 55 units of specialized equipment were installed at the facility, and it is the only service company of this profile in Central Asia.
Start of construction of the first solar and wind power plant in Turkmenistan
It was planned to start construction by the Çalik Enerji Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. of the first solar and wind power plant in Turkmenistan in July 2022. The company was to start designing and building a multidisciplinary solar and wind power plant with a capacity of 10 MW in the Serdar district of the Balkan region with landscaping of the adjacent territory.
Turkmenistan and Dragon Oil extended production sharing agreement
Turkmen Turkmennebit State Concern and the Arab Dragon Oil oil and gas company have extended the validity period of the production sharing agreement for 10 years. The validity period of the document was extended from 2025 through May 1, 2035.
