BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 24. The total amount of transactions in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan amounted to about $49.5 million last week, Trend reports with reference to the Business Turkmenistan website.

Entrepreneurs from Azerbaijan, UAE and Afghanistan purchased hydrotreated diesel fuel produced at the Turkmenbashi Oil Processing Complex and terry products manufactured at the enterprises of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan on the exchange.

Entrepreneurs from Turkmenistan purchased petroleum coke for the domestic market in the exchange for a total amount of more than 103.6 million Turkmen manats ($29.5 million).

A total of 13 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
