BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 31. Entrepreneurs from Kyrgyzstan and India purchased cotton yarn from Turkmen production during trading on January 26 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.

According to the information, businessmen from Kyrgyzstan purchased 71,5 tons of cotton yarn in exchange. The total amount of the transaction amounted to $189,400.

At the same time, according to the exchange, entrepreneurs from India purchased 38,5 tons of Turkmen-made cotton yarn for a total of 1.6 million Turkmen manats ($455,800).

Turkmenistan plans to allocate more than $300 million for the implementation of over 30 projects in the textile industry by 2025.

In general, over the years of independence, about $2 billion were invested in the construction of new and reconstruction of existing textile enterprises.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
