Entrepreneurs from Afghanistan buy oil products on Turkmen Commodity Exchange

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 16. Entrepreneurs from Afghanistan purchased base oil during trading on February 6 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.

Businessmen from Afghanistan purchased 8,000 tons of base oil from the SN-180 ($760 per ton), SN-350 ($795 per ton) and SN-600 ($845 per ton) brands on the exchange. The total amount of the transaction was $6.3 million.

At the same time, according to the exchange, on February 3, 2023, entrepreneurs from Kyrgyzstan purchased 55 tons of terry products for a total of $302,500.

Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. The country pays great attention to the construction of oil and gas processing plants, as well as the export of energy resources to world markets.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
