Turkmen cotton spinning factory unveils production figures

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 23. The production figures of the Turkmenabat Cotton Spinning factory located in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan for January 2023 have been published, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.

According to the information, during the specified period, the company produced products and performed work in the amount of 12.7 million Turkmen manats ($3.6 million), exceeding the plan by 9 percent.

Furthermore, the company exported 617 tons of cotton yarn worth 1.6 million Turkmen manats ($456,600) to other countries in January of this year.

Turkmenistan plans to allocate more than $300 million for the implementation of over 30 projects in the textile industry by 2025.

Major investments will be directed not only to expanding existing capacities but also to creating more than 10 new production facilities based on current enterprises.

In general, over the years of independence, about $2 billion were invested in the construction of new and reconstruction of existing textile enterprises.
