(Turkmenistan.ru) - A telephone conversation between President Saparmurat Niyazov of Turkmenistan and Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation took place.
According to the State news agency (TDH), the presidents exchanged views on the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in economic and humanitarian spheres and on a number of topical issues of mutual interest, reports Trend.
Particular attention was paid to energy cooperation, the report says.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the level of Turkmen-Russian relations that are stable and friendly. The heads of state expressed a common view that this partnership would be further strengthened and developed.
In the end of conversation Saparmurat Niyazov and Vladimir Putin wished health to each other as well as peace and prosperity to the peoples of Turkmenistan and Russia.
