Vice Prime Minister of the People's Republic of China Hui Liangyu met with Uzbek president Islam Karimov during his official visit to this Central Asian country, Xinhua reported on Thursday.
Liangyu mentioned that rapid development of intergovernmental ties, as well as continuous strengthening of political trust and economical cooperation can be recently observed.
He added that the aim of his visit to Uzbekistan is to make a contribution into Chinese-Uzbek relations, the development of bilateral cooperation and the implementation of the earlier reached agreements.
The Chinese side pays special attention to its relations with Uzbekistan, Liangyu said.
He added that China is ready to seek further coordination with Uzbekistan in the sphere of politics and security.
