Representatives of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan and EU Head of Delegation, Ambassador Norbert Jousten discussed topical issues of the bilateral agenda and upcoming contacts at different levels, Foreign Ministry said.
"The meeting focused on the sides' proposals to expand cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EU, as well as implementation of joint projects," the report says.
According to the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, there is a solid institutional framework between Uzbekistan and the EU, which covers almost all areas of cooperation.

In 2011, mutual trade turnover between Uzbekistan and the EU countries has increased by almost 20 percent and amounted to $2.367 billion. Some 841 enterprises with European capital operate in Uzbekistan.
