Uzbek President Islam Karimov has signed a decree to establish a a specialized Olympic reserve wrestling school under the Interior Ministry.

According to a document published by the local media today, the school is being established to develop wrestling as an Olympic focus sport.

The total contingent will hit 60 students. They will be provided with accommodation, meals, sports equipment, specialized form, equipment.

Foreign coaches and specialists may be invited to work at the facility.

The school is being financed from the state budget, Wrestling Association, sponsors and grants from international organizations, and other sources.

Uzbek wrestler Artur Taymazov won the Olympic gold medal at the 2012 summer Olympics in London.
