Uzbek government sums up 2012

A meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the results of socio-economic development in 2012 and defining economic development priorities for 2013 has started in Tashkent, a source in the government circles told Trend on Friday.
According to the source, President Islam Karimov will make a keynote address at the meeting.
Heads of ministries, departments, organizations, and leaders of regional administrations are expected to make speeches on the meeting agenda.
As it was previously reported, in 2012, the government forecasted GDP growth at 8.2 percent, industrial production -8.6-percent, agricultural production - by 5.8 percent. It was planned to increase total capital investments by 9.3 percent and to keep inflation within 7 - 9 percent.
