Vika M. Khumalo, who was re-appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Africa to Uzbekistan with residence in Ankara, handed over his credentials addressed to Uzbek President Islam Karimov to the country's Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov, the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan said.
According to the report, during the talks following the ceremony the parties discussed the status and priority of enhancing bilateral relations.
Kamilov and Khumalo praised cooperation within international organizations such as the UN and its agencies.
The sides also exchanged views on the schedule and content of upcoming Uzbek-South African contacts at various levels.
