Uzbek, Latvian FMs mull cooperation prospects

Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov and Foreign Minister of Latvia Edgars Rinkevics, who arrived in Tashkent on an official visit, discussed the implementation of agreements reached following the high-level bilateral meetings and other topical issues concerning Uzbek-Latvian relations, including those in the Uzbekistan - EU format on Thursday, Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
"The ministers recognized the importance of continuing the practice of regular consultations between foreign ministries to consider specific proposals for the further development of cooperation in political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other fields," the report says.
The sides also exchanged views on certain aspects of international and regional issues.
The meeting was attended by Latvian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Igors Apokins.
