Security measures strengthen in Tashkent before Independence Day

Within the preparation for the Independence Day celebrated in Tashkent on September 1, security measures have been strengthened, Tashkent's Central Interior Department told Trend.
Inspections for compliance with the rules of the passport regime were conducted in the capital. Appropriate measures are being taken in respect to offenders, a representative of the police department said.
Together with the municipalities and relevant organizations, special attention is paid to the protection of public order, traffic safety and fire safety, prevention of emergency situations.
The population is being educated on issues of compliance with fire safety regulations. A rigorous inspection of motor-vehicle transport is being carried out at the positions of traffic police officers.
Communities, companies, organizations and educational institutions are holding events calling on citizens to be vigilant. "Our home - we have to take care of it" meetings and discussions are being organized.
"As a result of such large-scale measures undertaken by the internal affairs agencies together with the state and public organizations, public order and safety of the citizens are being ensured", stressed the police department.
