The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution on the formation of 14 constituencies for the presidential election, scheduled for March 29.

According to the CEC, the constituencies were formed within the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 12 regions and Tashkent.

According to the electoral legislation of Uzbekistan, the nomination of presidential candidates begins 65 days before the election and ends 45 days before the election. The political parties are entitled to nominate a presidential candidate. They can nominate a candidate among members of their party and a non-party member.

The constituencies must be formed by at least two months before the election day.

The total number of voters is about 20.8 million people.

It was reported that the election to the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis completed in Uzbekistan.

The Liberal Democratic Party, People's Democratic Party, the Democratic Party Milly Tiklanish (National Revival), and the Social Democratic Party Adolat (Justice) were involved.

The election for the upper house of the parliament - the Senate will be held on January 13 - 14.
