An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 was recorded on Kyrgyzstan's border with Uzbekistan, Interfax reports citing Kazakhstan's Seismological Expedition.
The quake occurred at 08:39 (GMT+6) Apr. 16, some 541 kilometers to the south-west of the city of Almaty.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 10 kilometers.
