Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a visit to China in mid-May, Zhavlon Vakhabov, Uzbek first deputy foreign minister, told reporters in Tashkent Apr. 21.
"President Mirziyoyev’s upcoming visit must open a new page in the Uzbekistan-China relations," Vakhabov said.
“The main issue on the agenda is the current state of the Uzbekistan-China bilateral relations in trade, investments as well as a number of security issues,” he said.
During the president’s visit to China, numerous documents are planned to be signed, including commercial contracts and agreements between business entities and enterprises of Uzbekistan and China.
Mirziyoyev is also slated to have negotiations with President of China Xi Jinping, members of the Chinese State Council, as well as heads of leading enterprises and large financial and economic organizations.
The Uzbek president will participate in the ‘One Belt-One Road’ high-level forum in Beijing, organized by the Chinese government.
