Uzbekistan, EU mull prospects of co-op development

Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov received the EU Special Representative for Central Asia Peter Burian on Apr. 27, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry’s press service said.
Burian has recently arrived in Tashkent.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EU in political, trade and economic, investment and financial, and technical areas, as well as special regional issues, and reviewed practical aspects of preparation for the ‘EU-Central Asia’ interregional ministerial meeting.
Head of the EU Delegation in Uzbekistan Eduards Stiprais also took part in the meeting.
During his visit, Peter Burian is also expected to have bilateral meetings with officials, representatives of civil society, and businesses.
