More than 10 documents were signed in Tashkent Nov. 2 following a meeting with a Russian delegation led by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, who arrived in Uzbekistan for an official visit.

According to the Uzbek news agency UzA, several memorandums and agreements were signed to develop cooperation in oil refining, banking, investment, commercial and industrial spheres, car manufacturing, science, migration and other areas.

The prospects for further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia were discussed during the talks in an expanded format with participation of official delegations of the two countries.

The Uzbek delegation was headed by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov.

The Uzbek-Russian cooperation is developing on the basis of the strategic partnership agreement, the agreement on allied relations and a number of other important documents.

Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid a state visit to Russia in April 2017 and heads of the two countries also held a meeting as part of the session of the CIS Council of Heads of States, held in Sochi in October.
