The Uzbek Fund for Support of Exports of Small Businesses and Private Entrepreneurship under the country’s National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity signed the memorandums of cooperation on supply of textile products, juices, flavouring and other products with such South Korean companies as Awesome Ltd., SuWan TPL Co., Ltd and DOBE CorpInc. in Tashkent.
Moreover, the Uzbek Fund for Support of Exports of Small Businesses and Private Entrepreneurship and the Korea Federation of Jewelry Manufacturers Association reached an agreement on jewelry production project implementation in Tashkent.
All the agreements were reached within the Uzbek-South Korean business forum and cooperation exchange held in Tashkent.
A business forum was supported by the Uzbek Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country’s National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity. Around 60 representatives of big South Korean companies and around 150 representatives of the Uzbek companies took part in the forum.
South Korea’s direct investments worth over $7 billion were made in the Uzbek economy. Moreover, 461 companies with South Korean capital operate in Uzbekistan. Seventy-five South Korean companies’ offices have been accredited in Uzbekistan.
