According to the preliminary data, the export of scientific products of Uzbekistan’s Academy of Sciences will reach more than $3.2 million in 2017.
Such data are obtained during the meeting of the International Press Club in Tashkent, dedicated to the reforms in the scientific sphere of the country.
There are about 230 scientific and educational institutions implementing state scientific and technical programs in Uzbekistan. More than 11,000 people work there.
More than 400 fundamental projects, almost 1,000 applied projects, 370 innovative research projects are being implemented within the state scientific and technical programs this year.
The Uzbek president’s decree on "Measures of further strengthening the infrastructure of scientific research institutions and developing innovative activity" dated November 1, 2017 implies further development and reforms in the country's science.
The task is set for further expansion of innovation activity, use of the results of intellectual work of scholars and inventors.
