Foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Russia, Abdulaziz Kamilov and Sergei Lavrov, met in Moscow to discuss topical issues of bilateral relations and Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Tashkent, scheduled for autumn, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said in a message on May 30.
"The sides discussed the current issues on the Uzbek-Russian agenda. Firstly, they discussed proposals on agenda of a meeting of presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vladimir Putin, planned for autumn," the ministry said.
The parties stressed the special importance of the upcoming visit of the Russian president to Uzbekistan in further strengthening and developing bilateral relations of alliance and strategic partnership.
