The production of Uzbekistan's own heavy trucks may cheapen by 10 percent, as says the decree of the head of state "On additional measures for the further development of international transport of goods by road" dated June 7, 2019, Trend reports with reference to nuz.uz.
The decree says that an agreement with German "MAN Truck & Bus Company" was reached on granting a discount by the German side of 10 percent for components and assemblies for the production of heavy vehicles as part of optimizing the cost of domestic-made vehicles.
This will increase the competitiveness of tractors in the domestic and foreign markets.
Also German side will organize the centralized delivery of heavy-load MAN vehicles of the European production from the moment of which release passed no more than four years, with ensuring full service in Uzbekistan.
The new products of JV MAN-AutoUzbekistan and UzAutoTrailer will be launched on the terms of granting interest-free payment by installments of payment for up to two years with a possibility of adjustment to the value of products within the rate of inflation.
