A delegation led by US Deputy Assistant Secretary for Technical Assistance Policy William MacDonald is on a visit to Uzbekistan from 11 to 17 June, Trend reports with reference to podrobno.uz
During his visit to Uzbekistan, MacDonald intends to discuss the prospects for attracting on a long-term basis highly qualified consultants to the US Treasury to improve fiscal policy public debt and investment management, improve the efficiency of the budget process, strengthen the banking sector, and counter economic crimes.
The US delegation has scheduled meetings at the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, the State Tax Committee, the Central Bank, the Agency for the Development of the Capital Market, and the General Prosecutor’s Office.
