The Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AGMK) in Uzbekistan is implementing a set of measures to increase the extraction of precious metals from ore, Trend reports with reference to podrobno.uz.

The first step in this work was made by gold extraction factory of the Angren mine union, which since the end of last year has increased the extraction of precious metals from ore by 2 percent.

"It became possible thanks to new reagents which were not applied at our factory earlier. After obtaining positive results in laboratory and trial researches in December 2018, new reagents were introduced in the production. Besides, this year we started an additional ore mill with a productivity of 15-20 tons per hour, which allowed us to increase the ore processing by 10 percent since April. In addition, two new press filters have been also installed and work in the normal mode", Chief of technological department of mine administration Ilyos Turanbayev noted.

Furthermore, outdated equipment at Prospecting and Kyzyl Olma mines was replaced with two new Simba drilling rigs of the Swedish company Atlas Copco. This will allow to increase productivity several times, since one new machine can replace two old ones.

According to the news report, the specialists of the Swedish company conducted training for drilling rig operators and issued international certificates allowing them to work at any enterprises where the drilling rigs of this company are used.
