Uzbekistan reveals industrial output for 7M2021

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug. 23

Enterprises of Uzbekistan from January through July 2021 produced industrial products worth 233.8 trillion soums ($22 billion), Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

In the structure of production, the largest share falls on manufacturing enterprises (82.5 percent), whose production volume amounted to 192.8 trillion soums ($18 billion).

It is noted that the main factors of growth in the physical volume of industrial production were its increase in the mining industry by 7.9 percent, in the manufacturing industry - by 9.1 percent, electricity supply, gas, steam, and air conditioning - by 11 percent.

The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in 7M2021 amounted to 22.5 trillion soums ($2.1 billion), or 9.6 percent of the total industry.

In the structure of the manufacturing industry, the share of high-tech industries amounted to 2.5 percent (1.6 percent in 7M2020), medium-high-tech industries - 20.3 percent (24.3 percent), medium-low-tech industries - 41.0 percent (39.1 percent), and low-tech industries - 36.2 percent (35 percent).

In the volume of the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises for the production, repair, assembly of machinery and equipment, the production of cars, trailers, semi-trailers, and other finished products amounted to 17.4 percent (the physical volume index amounted to 0.9 percent against 7M2020), metallurgical industry - 27.8 percent (13.4 percent), enterprises for the production of textile, clothing and leather products - 17.3 percent (21 percent), enterprises for the production of food, beverages and tobacco products - 16.3 percent (7.1 percent), enterprises producing chemical products, rubber and plastic products - 9.5 percent (6.2 percent).
