LUKOIL shares data on natural gas obtained in Uzbekistan

Production of natural gas at the Russian LUKOIL oil and gas company’s fields in Uzbekistan has reached 100 billion cubic meters, since 2004, when the company started its operation in the country, Trend reports via the press-service of the company.

Over 70 percent of natural gas was obtained at the Kandym-Khauzak-Shady area in the Uzbekistan’s Bukhara region, which was developed since the beginning of LUKOIL's operation in Uzbekistan. The level of production at the area reached in 2008, 4 billion cubic meters per year.

LUKOIL began developing the Gissar group of fields in the Kashkadarya region in April 2009. Gas production at these fields began in December 2011.

The company put into operation the Kandym gas processing complex (Bukhara region in Uzbekistan) in 2017, with a capacity of 8.1 billion cubic meters of gas per year, designed to process hydrogen sulfide-containing gas, obtain purified natural gas, stable gas condensate and lump sulfur.

In the same year, the company launched key production and technological facilities at the Gumbulak and Adamtash fields(Uzbekistan’s Kashkandarya region). Since 2018 it obtains 5 billion cubic meters of gas per year from these fields.
