According to Uzbekistan’s State Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan exported shoes worth $37.4 million to 16 foreign countries, Trend reports citing the committee.
The volume of footwear exports of the country increased by $1 million compared to 2020.
In 2021, the biggest amount of shoes was exported to Kyrgyzstan, which was worth $21.9 million. Kazakhstan is in second place (7.9 million), Tajikistan took third place ($5.5 million) and Russia comes next ($991,000).
Moreover, regions of Uzbekistan which exported the most amount of shoes in 2021 were the Andijan region – $17 million, the Samarkand region – $7.5 million, the Fergana region – $7.3 million, Tashkent region – $2.4 million, Namangan region – $1.2 million.
