Uzbek Central Bank discloses volume of liquid assets for 1M2022

Liquid assets of the banks of Uzbekistan increased by 42.1 percent in January, 2022 compared to the same period last year (46.1 trillion soums, or $4.2 billion), reaching 65.6 trillion soums ($6 billion), Trend reports referring to the Uzbek Central Bank.

During this period, liquid assets accounted for 15.6 percent of the total assets of the Uzbek banks, which is an increase of 2.4 percent compared to the same period of 2021 (13.2 percent).

The liquidity coverage ratio of Uzbek banks in the corresponding period amounted to 169.5 percent, which is an increase of 34.2 percent compared to January, 2021 (135.3 percent). The net stable funding ratio amounted to 115.4 percent, which is an increase of 5.1 percent compared to January, 2021.

In January, 2022 the instant liquidity ratio of Uzbek banks increased 1.6 times compared to the same period last year (66.8 percent), reaching 107.3 percent.
