Uzbekistan's gross external debt amounted to $41.62 billion in 2021, which is an increase of $5.29 billion compared to 2020 ($36.33 billion),Trend reports via Uzbek Ministry of Finance.
According to the ministry, Uzbekistan's gross external debt accounted for 60.1 percent of the country's GDP in 2021.
At the same time, the state external debt increased by $2.3 billion in 2021 ($23.4 billion) compared to 2020 ($21.1 billion).
The Ministry of Finance notes that the domestic public debt of Uzbekistan has reached 26.3 billion soums ($2.4 million).
