The volume of industrial production in Uzbekistan from January through February 2022 amounted to 66.7 trillion soums ($6 billion), which is an increase of 20.7 percent compared to the same period of 2021 (55.2 trillion soums, or $5 billion), Trend reports referring to the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
The volume of production of the mining industry for the corresponding period amounted to 7.5 trillion soums ($685.5 million), which is an increase of 24.9 percent compared to the same period last year (six trillion soums, or $548.7 million).
During this period the volume of production of the manufacturing industry increased by 20.9 percent compared to the same period of 2021 (43.5 trillion soums, or $3.9 billion), reaching 52.7 trillion soums ($4.7 billion).
From January through February 2022 the volume of production in the field of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning reached six trillion soums ($553.3 million).
