Uzbekistan sees increase in volume of trade turnover for 2M2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 28. The foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan amounted to $8.7 billion from January through February 2022, which is an increase of 84.9 percent compared to the same period last year ($4.7 billion), Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.

At the same time, the share of the CIS countries in the foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan from January through February 2022 amounted to $2.5 billion, which is an increase of 31.1 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2021 ($1.9 billion).

The foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan with other countries in the specified period amounted to 6.1 billion, which is an increase of 2.2 times compared to the same period of 2021 ($2.7 billion).

From January through February 2022, exports of goods and services from Uzbekistan amounted to $4.1 billion, while imports amounted to $4.6 billion.

The largest trading partners of Uzbekistan in this period were China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and the Republic of Korea.
