BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 29. The volume of retail trade turnover in Uzbekistan from January through February 2022 amounted to 37 trillion soums ($3.2 billion), which is an increase of 13.3 percent compared to the same period of 2021, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
During this period, the retail trade turnover per capita amounted to one million soums ($92.3).
From January through February 2022, the retail trade turnover of large enterprises in the country amounted to 8.4 trillion soums ($730.4 million), while the retail trade turnover of small businesses – was 25.3 trillion soums ($2.2 billion).
In the structure of the country's retail trade turnover, a significant share fell on Tashkent city, amounting to 24.1 percent, or 8.9 trillion soums ($776.7 million).
The smallest share at the level of 1.7 percent, or 615.4 billion soums ($53.5 million) fell in the Syrdarya region.
