BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 8. The Uzbek BMB Trade Group company intends to implement a major investment project for the processing of municipal solid waste together with Italian companies, the Adviser to the General Director of the company on public relations and media Bakhodir Kamilov told Trend.
“During the visit to Italy of the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMB Trade Group Bekzod Mamatkulov at the end of last year, an agreement was reached on the implementation of a joint investment project to launch a full cycle in Uzbekistan from the collection of solid domestic waste to waste-free electricity generation,” Kamilov said.
According to him, Italian Energy Systems and FCL Ambiente companies are involved in the project development.
“This international project will attract modern technologies and direct investments from Italy, improve the ecological climate in Uzbekistan, as well as organize the processing of municipal solid waste into useful products for the national economy, in demand in various sectors of the country's economy,” Kamilov said.
