BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 15. Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan intend to promote interregional cooperation, adviser to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Azerbaijan Mahamadjon Botraliyev told Trend.
“We are working on establishing links between various cities of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. At the moment, the establishment of cooperative ties between Samarkand and Ganja, as well as between Baku and Tashkent, is under development,” Botraliyev said.
The embassy adviser noted that the development of bilateral cooperation in the economic, cultural, humanitarian and transport sectors is expected.
“We are aimed at multiplying the mutual trade turnover. In this regard, we exchange delegations within the framework of bilateral cooperation,” Botraliyev said.
Botraliev also added that work is currently underway within the framework of the eleventh meeting of the intergovernmental commission on cooperation between countries.
