BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 16. Uzbekistan has exported 2,600 tons of pepper to 14 countries in the amount of $2.6 million from January through February 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
Pepper exports decreased by 388 tons compared to the corresponding period last year.
The biggest amount of pepper was exported from the country’s Surkhandarya region, which amounted to 1,200 tons, followed by the Jizzakh region (344 tons) and Samarkand region (317 tons).
During this period, most of the pepper was exported to Kazakhstan in the amount of 1,800 tons, followed by Kyrgyzstan (273 tons), Russia (147 tons), and Germany (125 tons).
