BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 2. Uzbekistan imported food products worth $1.1 billion from January through April, 2022,Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
According to the committee, this figure increased by 48.9 percent or $370.2 million compared to the same period last year.
At the same time, in the first 4 months of the year, food products were imported from 102 countries (in 2021 from 94 countries).
During this period Uzbekistan mainly imported food products from Kazakhstan (38.2 percent), Russia (25.2 percent), Brazil (11.3 percent), Belarus (4.4 percent) and Pakistan (3.5 percent).
