BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 3. The total portfolio of bank loans in Uzbekistan amounted to 340.3 trillion soums ($31.2 billion) from January through April 2022, Trend reports referring to the Uzbek Central Bank.
This indicator increased by 16.5 percent compared to the same period last year (292 trillion soums or $26.7 billion).
During this period, the loan portfolio of state-owned banks amounted to 288.5 trillion soums ($26.4 billion), and private banks – 51.7 trillion soums ($4.7 billion).
The volume of non-performing loans (NPL) for the corresponding period amounted to 18 trillion soums ($1.6 billion).
This figure increased by 39.8 percent compared to the same period of 2021 (12.9 trillion soums or $1.2 billion).
