BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 29. German Solar Association is developing a project for solar energy and irrigation in Uzbekistan, Chairman Work Group Export PV of German Solar Association Christoph Urbschat told Trend.
“The project is about providing water for the agriculture sector and of course we need energy, especially for pumping water and automatization of the equipment. We are looking into setting up this modern irrigation project together with renewable energy supplies, and clean modern irrigation solutions. We are developing the project with our Uzbek partners and companies from the German Water Partnership Association, and from our association,” Urbschat said.
He added that they are planning to use a drip irrigation system and provide Uzbekistan with the automatization equipment.
Furthermore, Urbschat said that within the project trainings for irrigation engineers and solar engineers will be provided.
“There is another social project we are implementing in Uzbekistan. We currently install a solar system in school in Tashkent,” Urbschat said.
In addition, he said that the German Solar Association focuses on facilitating the cooperation between German solar companies with the Uzbek companies.
