BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 5. Following the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Hungary, in total 16 documents were signed between the countries, Trend reports via the press service of the president.

The signed documents will serve the further development of the Uzbek-Hungarian strategic partnership.

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban signed a Joint Statement on the development of a strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Hungary.

The document emphasizes the friendly, open and constructive spirit of the negotiations held during the visit of the president, provides for the intensification of all-around mutually beneficial cooperation, and also marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

In addition, 15 documents were signed at the level of governments, ministries and departments of the two countries, providing for the further expansion of the Uzbek-Hungarian strategic partnership. Among them:

- Joint program for the development of industrial cooperation for 2023-2024;

- Action Plan for the development of cooperation in the field of science and technology;

- Action Plan to expand cooperation in the field of agriculture;

- Agreement on cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports;

- Agreement on cooperation in the field of scientific development.
