Uzbek Central Bank shares data on volume of deposits

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 26. Total volume of bank deposits in Uzbekistan amounted to 216.54 trillion soums ($19.2 billion) as of December 1, 2022, Trend reports referring to the Uzbek Central Bank.

According to the bank, total deposits of citizens and legal entities in banks in November 2022 increased by 4.8 percent, compared to the previous month.

The volume of individual deposits in November 2022 increased by 2.85 percent or 1.61 trillion soums ($143.4 million), compared to the previous month, and amounted to 57.79 trillion soums ($5.1 billion).

The population keeps 29.31 trillion soums ($2.6 billion) in non-state banks, while 28.47 trillion soums ($2.5 billion) in state banks.

The volume of deposits of legal entities as of December 1, 2022 exceeded 158.75 trillion soums ($14.1 billion), of which 109.3 trillion soums ($9.7 billion) in state banks, and in non-state banks – 49.45 trillion soums ($4.4 billion).
