BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 14. Uzbekistan has disclosed data on the volume of grapes produced from January through December 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.

According to the Committee, Uzbekistan produced more than 1.7 million tons of grapes, increasing by 3.9 percent, compared to the reporting period in 2021.

Statistics note that most of the production of grapes went to dehkan farms (individual or family farms) and subsidiary farms – 52.3 percent, followed by farms – 45.2 percent, and organizations engaged in agricultural activities –2.5 percent.

Furthermore, Uzbekistan exported 318,900 tons of grapes worth $280.1 million during the corresponding period. This figure increased by 34.4 percent compared to the figure for last year. Some 24.7 percent of the export share fell on grape export (including dried ones).

At the same time, Uzbekistan exported 1.7 million tons of fruit and vegetables worth $1.1 billion from January through December 2022, which is 18.5 percent more than it was exported in 2021. Main Uzbekistan’s fruit and vegetables importers were: Kazakhstan ( 641,200 tons), Russia (541,900 tons), Kyrgyzstan (155,600 tons), China (127,200 tons), Pakistan (65,300 tons ), Afghanistan (48,700 tons), Belarus (24,300 tons), Türkiye (19,000 tons), Iran (12,800 tons) and Azerbaijan (10,000 tons).
