Chinese company signs deal to build hydraulic unit production plant in Uzbekistan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 27. Uzbekistan and China signed a memorandum of understanding on establishing production of hydraulic units with a capacity of up to 2-15 MW in Uzbekistan, Trend reports via Uzbekistan’s government portal.

The memorandum was signed between Uzbekhydroenergo JSC’s Chairman of the Board and the Chairman of the Chinese Zhejiang Jinlun Electro Mechanical Co., Ltd.

According to this agreement, the future plant for production of the units will be put into operation at full capacity starting from January 2024. At the initial stage, hydraulic units with a capacity of up to 1 MW will be produced in the plant, and then – up to 15 MW.

The mentioned plant (to be built by the Chinese company) will be the first and only one in Central Asia for the production of hydraulic units with a capacity of 2-15 MW.

The plant's products under the brand "Made in Uzbekistan" will be exported to Uzbekistan’s neighbors - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and others.
