The main part of oil and gas produced in Azerbaijan, accounts for the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) block of oil and gas fields and Shah Deniz gas and condensate field developed by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) jointly with foreign partners.
In particular, some 32.2 million tons of oil was produced at the ACG block last year, and some 9.8 billion cubic meters of gas - at the Shah Deniz field.
In 2013, the volume of operating costs within the ACG project stood at $772 million, and the capital costs at $2.83 billion.
The forecasts show that in 2014 the volume of capital costs within the project will stand at about $2.7 billion, and operating costs at $1.5 billion.
Last year the operating costs within the Shah Deniz project totalled $200 million, and capital costs at $1.7 billion.
The project's operating costs in 2014 are projected at $200 million, and capital at $4 billion.
