Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr.D.Khatinoglu / Ali Larijani, the chairman of the Security Council of Iran, resigned.
Larijani has resigned for several times, Gholomhossein Elham, the Iranian representative said, the IRNA Iranian agency reported on 20 October.
The Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad received the resignation. Larijani left the post due to his private reasons, Elham said. Saeed Jamili would take the post of Larijani, IRNA reported.
